My work is informed by light, shadows, reflections and movement playing on different surfaces. The paintings represent a dark time in my childhood, my journey through life, my resilience to overcome and crossing to adulthood. Physical encounters are expressed in texture, color, values and shape providing an abstract perception of my life experiences. Light peeked into recesses of darkness and revealed truth. Blue serenity and yellow transition, together, form green, a rebirth, a new beginning, and reinvention of myself. The circle focuses on light, the good, and is my proof, my validation.
